Lusail Energy Towers, Doha, Qatar

1/4

Themes of Energy run throughout the design.

Tower One, Bait al Ma’an, grows out of the ground. It supports a demonstration system for grey-water recycling at roof level. It is clad in fired clay – a polychrome mix of the colours of Qatar. The Plinth, Represents flows of energy, sparking connections both between the two towers, and between the development and its context.

Tower Two, Bait al Kharaba, reaches upwards to greet the sky. caleIt is topped with a slender lightning conductor and a whirring wind-farm. It is clad in flashing stainless steel. Like Tower One, it is of the Land and Sea; becoming an integrated part of the landscape concept – both street and waterfront.
