Tim Makower

Tim Makower founded Makower Architects in 2012.

He is an architect, urbanist and a cultural polymath. He studied at the University of Cambridge and the Royal College of Art in London. In 1990 he joined Allies and Morrison, a leading architectural and urban design practice in the UK. During his 28 years there, many as a Partner, he completed a number of significant projects, such as the masterplan for King’s Cross Central, Bankside 123, Liverpool One, Paternoster Square and St Andrew’s Bow, and became a respected designer of landmark developments in the UK.

In 2008, Tim began working on projects in Doha where he was the masterplanner and architect for Sidra Village - a 9-hectare community at Education City. He was also the ‘Architectural Language Advisor’ for the Msheireb Project, a 35 hectare / 8 million square feet mixed use development in the old city centre.
