Heather Macey

Heather joined Makower Architects, as a Director, in July 2022. Prior to joining Makower Architects, she was a Director of the practice’s residential and mixed-use studio at McAslan + Partners, where she has overseen a number of international mixed-use schemes ranging in scale and typology, as well as a number of important cultural and heritage projects, including the Burrell Collection in Glasgow and Lillie Square masterplan.

This range of complex and demanding projects has provided Heather with wide-ranging experience, with a particular specialism in working within sensitive heritage contexts. Heather currently leads the practice’s Hidden Homeless initiative and is a founding member of Architects Aware, a London-based think tank dedicated to addressing the homeless crisis. Heather also leads the Design Think Tank Module at the London School of Architecture (LSA).
